| Soccer / Goalie puts Europe on hold and braces for Israeli reality?
Hapoel Tel Aviv supporters wanted to organize a farewell match for star goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama. They reckoned the Nigerian international, who in the past two years was among the best players in the league, was certain to transfer to a bigger club and wanted to thank perhaps the best goalie ever to play in the Israeli league. But the initiative was quashed by club management.? ?At the moment we have no offer for Enyeama and, as far as we?re concerned, he will play for Hapoel next season,? supporters were then told.? .
Soccer Star Alexandre Pato's Wedding
Although she portrayed a celestial being in the telenovela Dorinha, no doubt actress Sthefany Brito never looked more angelic in the eyes of her love Alexandre Pato than on the evening that she walked down the aisle in her Dolce & Gabbana wedding dress and said "I do" to the striker for AC Milan.According to Globo, sports icon Cafu was among the 500 friends and family members to rise from the pews inside Sao Francisco de Paula church in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on the evening of July 7, 2009 as the bride, clutching a bouquet of ivory roses, made her grand entrance inside the house of worship, her ribbon-edged veil trailing behind as the voluminous folds of her ballgown skirt gently shifted to the sounds of the wedding march. After the bride and her 19-year-old groom-- who donned an all-white tuxedo for the happy occasion-- exchanged vows, the Rolls Royce awaiting the newlyweds outside the church whisked the couple off to a reception at the Copacabana Palace Hotel where, like so many others around the world on that day, the music of Michael Jackson was played, both as a celebration of the superstar's life and of the start of the lovebirds' new life together.
Task force looks at revitalizing Memorial Coliseum, Rose Quarter
He fears the Beavers will leave town because Major League Soccer is on track to take over PGE Park in 2011. "I think baseball should be part of what's analyzed," he said of the Coliseum's future. But Adams said baseball is not an option. Not surprisingly, the latest effort will include the Blazers. The team has the right of first proposal for any private construction project involving the Coliseum. Any public project could go forward without the team, though that's unlikely because of the cost. While taxpayers will be tapped for millions in urban renewal cash, the Blazers and their development partner, The Cordish Company, have the deep pockets needed to do anything meaningful. The Blazers already have designs on the Rose Quarter and have pitched the concept of an entertainment district that includes bars, restaurants and a covered plaza with a stage for live music or community events.
