| Soccer sponsors thanked
The Helena U-15 Boys Arsenal Soccer team would like to thank the many local sponsors who helped fund their trip to the Regional Soccer Tournament in Lancaster, California, June 14-21. The boys are two-time Montana state champions - in 2007 and 2009. They faced tough competition drawing North California, South California, and Hawaii in regional pool play. Junior Rams soccer camp on tap
There are one major sports camps remaining on the local scene, the Mineral Wells Junior Ram Soccer Camp.The Junior Ram Soccer Camp will be held from Aug. 3-6 and is designed for students entering the sixth grade through incoming freshmen. The camp will run from 9 -10:30 a.m. each day.Early registration is encouraged. FITCHBURG HIGH HOSTING SOCCER ACADEMY
Central Mass Soccer Academy is now accepting registrations for its August soccer camp. Registration recommended as soon as possible, as space is limited. CMSA offers a co-ed soccer camp, ages 6-18, for all players within the surrounding communities. Coaching Director Werner Thissen, founder of Central Mass Soccer Academy, emphasizes learning techniques and tactics in a fun and safe environment. Whether a beginner or seasoned competitor, this soccer camp can take all players' game to the next level. Thissen will also offer a co-ed goalkeeper clinic, for players ages 12-18. The camps will be held at Fitchburg High School, 140 Arn-How Farm Road, Aug. 17 to 21, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Each camper will receive a shirt and a water bottle.
