| Kids learn basics at WDM soccer clinic
Kids acquiring soccer skills on July 1 preferred to show off their talents rather than say them.
"You get to do this, and it's fun," said 6-year-old Paige Hart as she kicked her leg back and forth during Smart Start Soccer sponsored by West Des Moines Parks and Recreation.
The weekly clinic, held at Fairmeadows Parks, teams parents and children to teach basic soccer skills.
Parents and kids first stretched their muscles, then kids went for a run up and down the field. They kicked their soccer balls along the way. .
